Progress Authority History

Original Name – Central Bradford County Economic Development Authority (CBCEDA)

March 2, 1993, first organizational meeting

Dedicated to promoting economic growth and overall community development

Started with inter-municipal cooperation of 4 municipalities – N. Towanda Township, Towanda Boro, Towanda Township and Wysox Township

Merged with Towanda Area Industrial Development Corp. in 2003
Formed the Central Bradford IDA in 2005

2003 – Countywide Economic Development Services in Bradford County

2005 – Economic Development Technical assistance in Susquehanna County
